#L&SR’s #Wednesday’s Blog Challenge Book Boyfriend or Girlfriend
Welcome to #L&SR’s #Wednesday’s Blog Challenge December 4, 2019, Book Boyfriend or Girlfriend This was another difficult topic, so many book boyfriends so little time, but I finally narrowed it down to a few.
Let’s start with –Troublemaker by Linda Howard. Book Boyfriend Morgan Yancy, an operative and team leader in a paramilitary group. Loved his character and his interactions with the heroine and her dog.
The Witness by Nora Roberts. Book boyfriend would be The police chief Brooks Gleason is a laid back law man with a hippy mother. I found Brooks characteristics to be fun and sexy.
The Very Thought of You by Claire Marti – In this one book boyfriend would be Jake Cruz. Yeah he was a hunky fireman with a soft spot for animals. Do we see a pattern forming here? LOL
And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention A Demon’s Witch. Yeah it’s my own book, in fact my debut novel back in 2015. But the hero, Bruce is just to smoking hot to ignore. Keeping a lid on all the paranormal beings inhabiting Washington D.C., is a daunting job. Bruce, a six hundred year old demon and the Territory Overlord of the Western Hemisphere, keeps his finger on the pulse of DC’s power players through the activities at his highly successful Wycked Hair Salon. His movie star good looks and body builder physique keeps his dance card full and the rumor mills running. Within these walls, his anonymity is safe, mostly.
Pssst…. I’ll let you in on a little secret… Shhh… I modeled him after my own real life hero I’ve been married to for many moons. Just don’t tell anyone. Okay?
Alas, I need to get back to my writing cave where deadlines loom, so let’s see what other authors list as their Book Boyfriends or Book Girlfriends. L&SR

So excited! I’ve got a new release, Charm Me Again, December 9, 2019, available for pre-order now. Please check it out. (By the way, the hero, Daylan, is also my book boyfriend. Who can resist a powerful warlock? Come on admit it, no one. LOL
Teaser from CHARM ME AGAIN –

Yet, being a talented warlock, he is no closer to discovering what the ghost wants or why he chose Daylan. A trip to his estranged sister’s home in Colorado may have unforeseen consequences especially when family history leads him to a shocking discovery.
As his attraction blooms for Josie, a yoga instructor in his sister’s studio, he realizes there may be more to Josie than he can imagine. When an ancient rogue Fae Warrior set on revenge kidnaps her in an attempt to claim her as his own, a devastating curse comes to light.
Daylan’s world spirals out of control as he searches for Josie. Can he break the age old curse to save her and their future, or will she be lost to him forever?

I’m fickle when it comes to book boyfriends. It’s usually the book I’m currently reading. 🙂
Know that feeling. THanks for stopping by Jennifer! Happy Holidays!
I agree with Jennifer – I love all the men! But the love of my life is still Tony Scarlotti in Alexandra Christle’s book Hitchin’. 🙂
Cant go wrong there. Thanks for stopping by. Happy Holidays!
Morgan does sound like a good book boyfriend.
My post.
you bet ya! Lydia thanks for stopping by! Happy Holidays!
Angie would make a good girlfriend. https://pmprescott.blogspot.com/2019/12/writer-friends.html
You got that right. My hubby thinks so too! LOL Thanks for stopping by Patrick! Happy Holidays!
Not a bad choice for a book boyfriend.
Thank you CB. What about you, choice in book boyfriends? Thanks for stopping by. Happy Holidays!
I mentioned this to someone else earlier, but it totally makes sense to include your own heroes in this! After all, you did craft them out of your own ideal, right? Great list today.
Exactly. Thanks for stopping by! Happy Holidays!
Bruce sounds like a great character.
That he is. And he is in all of A Demon’s Witch Series – 5 books currently. Thanks for stopping by Echo!
Funny you should mention “The Witness”… I literally have it sitting about 3” from my computer and am rereading it now. It’s one of my favorite of her single titles. 🙂
And, of COURSE you’re supposed to fall in love with your own heroes. If you don’t, which should anyone else?
I agree wholeheartedly Thanks for stopping by. Happy Holidays!
Ya made my TBR list get longer, but I did snap up a couple on that list. Yours to be exact 🙂 Thanks for the list. I love it!
Wow! Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. Enjoy the books. Happy Holidays!
Thanks for stopping by yesterday and thanks for all the new adds to my ever-growing TBR list!
A 600-year-old demon is less a boyfriend and more of a commitment, to my thinking 😉
Good point, bus since they are immortal… Thanks for stopping by Maire!
