Friday the 13th and a 99 cent Sale- Yippee
Friday, March 13th will be extra spooky this week in the Pacific, Central and Mountain time zones . The date associated with bad luck, black cats, and scary happenings coincides with the Waning Gibbous Phase of the full worm moon (March 9th), first supermoon of the year . This is the first phase after the Full Moon occurs creating a perfect storm for the superstitious! I’m not one of those, I long ago embraced Friday the thirteenth, and all things thirteen probably because it wasn’t done in my household. My mom was the queen of superstitious. She avoided walking under ladders, tossed salt over her shoulder when she spilled some, never broke a mirror to my recollection, and would walk or drive blocks out of her way to avoid allowing a black cat to cross her path. Until that fateful day I brought home the cutest solid black kitten with the bluest eyes. Named him Panther after my high school mascot. He blessed us with his presence for twenty-two years. I miss that cat!
FYI – For those of you with inquiring minds, 2020 will have two Friday the 13th. Today and in November. The irrational fear of the number thirteen has been given a scientific name: “triskaidekaphobia”; and on analogy to this the fear of Friday the 13th is called paraskevidekatriaphobia, from the Greek words Paraskeví (Παρασκευή, meaning “Friday”), and dekatreís (δεκατρείς, meaning “thirteen”). Yeah I more than you wanted to know. LOL
To celebrate, Friday the 13th A WARLOCK’S SECRETS is on sale for 99 cents. You can’t beat that with a witch’s hat or an angel’s halo. Talk about good luck! LOL
After you chase a black cat that cut in front of you under the ladder and avoid the shards of glass from a shattered mirror you dropped, leave your ordinary world behind. Change your luck and be swept away into a magical, romantic fantasy adventure with an warlock and a shapeshifter you’ll never want to leave. You don’t even have to leave your house, download your copy today.
A little about A WARLOCK’S SECRETS:
Years ago, a sacred ceremony at the Dragon’s Moon Coven turned deadly. Son of the high priestess, Tristian Shandie’s life changed forever. With a price on his head and revenge in his heart, he has no choice but to follow in his father’s footsteps to a profession shrouded in secrets. Now his skills as an enforcer for the Demon Overlord are second to none. But dangerous secrets he harbors are a liability he can no longer afford.
A chance meeting with a woman he finds irresistible flips Tristian’s world upside down. Hannah is a cyber security specialist with secrets of her own. Bad boys never appealed to her until Tristian, who changes everything. In his darkest hours, she is dragged into his magical world.
If they survive, is she strong enough to heal his heart and tame the warlock? Or will their secrets destroy them?
Sneak peek between the pages of A WARLOCK’S SECRETS:
Inside the house, a shadow passed by the huge bay window. She held her breath. Am I really going to go through with this?
Walking up the steps to the house, she paused. Why would he leave such an expensive car sitting out when he had a four-car garage? She was stalling. Straightening her shoulder’s she used the brass doorknocker. There was no answer. She knocked again.
The heavy oak door creaked open. Tristian stood shirtless, his abs rippled as he raised one muscular arm to lean on the doorframe. The skintight blue jeans hung low on his hips and his hair tousled as if he’d not been awake long.
When he stared at her, with those huge blue-gray eyes, tingles careened up her spine. She covered her mouth in case drool pooled in the corners her mouth. He was one sexy male. She sucked in a breath and opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out. A brow arched, he peered questioningly at her then twisted to glance backward into the house. The sunlight streaming through the doorway accentuated several scars across his chest, rib area and a healed slash across his back. Who gets those kinds of battle scars and lives to tell the tale? Not going to ask. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea after all.
The corner of his mouth curved up in an inviting sexy-as-hell grin. “Good morning, Hannah. What a surprise.”
Enjoy your Friday the Thirteenth under the waning worm moon! May the luck of the Irish be with you!!

#L&SR’s #Wednesday’s Blog Challenge 3.11.20 One Skill I Wish I Had But Don’t
Welcome to #L&SR’s #Wednesday’s Blog Challenge 3-4-2020 One Skill I Wish I had But Don’t. Wow, so many so little time. LOL Please have a seat, grab a hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookie. Lets get started.,
My spatial concept abilities are terrible. Someone will describe something to me in detail but unless I can see a picture of it, I can’t envision it. Is that a skill?
Painting or drawing. Here, i have the opposite problem. I see this beautiful picture in my mind, and am unable to put it on paper or canvas. I am so jealous or in awe of those who have the artistic ability.
So there you have it, one skill, ok I cheated and listed two, I wish I had but don’t!
Alas, I must return to my writing cave where deadlines loom on a new WIP (very exciting and coming along very well) so let’s see what other authors list as their One Skill I Wish I had But Don’t . L&SR
What one or maybe two skills do you wish you had but don’t Please list them in the comments.

One of my favorite award winning books, A WARLOCK’S SECRETS e-book is on sale for 99¢. Yippee!! Writing this book was an adventure in and of itself. A Warlock’s Secrets came to fruition after several readers and a couple of reviewers asked or assumed Tristian’s story was next in the Demon’s Witch Series. In truth, I’d never considered writing his story. He was the Demon Overlords enforcer/assassin, for heaven’s sake. After delving into who he really is and what he wants, come to find out, he has a strong moral compass and when love comes his way he is fiercely protective and everything Hannah is looking for in a forever relationship. A Warlock’s Secrets, second book in the Demon’s Witch Series is on sale for 99¢ for a limited time.!Join in the adventure and download your copy today!

Welcome to #L&SR’s #Wednesday’s Blog Challenge 3-4-2020 Characters that Remind Me of Myself & Why
Welcome to #L&SR’s #Wednesday’s Blog Challenge 3-4-2020 Characters that Remind Me of Myself & Why. Wow, had to think on that one for a bit. Please have a seat, grab a hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookie. Lets get started.,
First character that comes to mind is my own Mercy from Mystic Maples. Her curiosity is always getting her into trouble. Yeah, I claim that character trait. Mom insisted that I would outgrow it. Wrong! My overactive imagination combined with curiosity is a potent combination for a paranormal, romance, mystery writer. Anything can happen and usually does.
Next character would be Bo from TroubleMaker, by Linda Howard. Strong of character, smart, loyal, and wary.
Let’s move on to TV characters, Judge Lola Carmichael on All Rise. Our physical characteristics may be different, but our search for truth, unwavering commitment, and feistiness fit to a T.
Movies, Wonderwoman – Gal Gadot – Yeah don’t we all wish. LOL Anyway, stubborn, loyal, determined. We share those traits.
So there you have it,Characters that Remind Me of Myself & Why!
Alas, I must return to my writing cave where deadlines loom on a new WIP (very exciting) so let’s see what other authors list which Characters that Remind Me of Myself and Why. L&SR

Buyer Beware! Shop Around for Big Ticket Items!
Buyer beware! Shop around before you purchase big ticket items. Yep, I always live by those phrases. Also if it is too good to be true, it probably is.
Okay I admit it, I’ve yanked out my soap box out from under my bed on this post. Yesterday, I contacted a well know car audio shop in the market for a car alarm. Of course I’d done my homework and knew what the cost of the alarm was before installation. Well aware that labor costs are required to install the item. BUT, first off the salesman quoted us what appeared to be a fair price. When we arrived, the price escalated from $299.00 to $1,000.00 Ridiculous! Mamma didn’t raise no sucker.
Walked outside and make a phone call to a different retailer. Another reasonable price quoted. Went back inside and confronted the salesman and said I was leaving. He then dropped the price $100.00 and threw in a remote start which we didn’t want or need. He was told I had just found the same exact item for less than half what he was now charging. Not interested in his way of doing business. On the way out the door, the man said “I know where you going and they are going to tell you one thing then after it’s installed charge you what I’m charging you.”
So the only thing to do was be upfront with the next retailer. Told him what had happened, what had been said and informed him the price quoted was what would be paid. No more.
The man at place number two nodded. “That’s how we do business.” A few hours later we drove off with the exact car alarm installed for the reasonable price quoted. Still steamed that we were treated that way by retailer number one, Drive-In Auto Sound. So buyer beware.
Okay, climbing down off my soap box and shoving it back under the bed. It’s been a long time since I’ve had that happen. Yep, still makes me furious. It’s a shame. Don’t you think?
That’s it for this post on “My Say What Blog”. Have a great weekend!
