Welcome to #L&SR’s #Wednesday’s Blog Challenge 6-24-20 – My “go to”book or movie for a pick-me- up! This one is a no brainer! Please have a seat, grab an iced tea or lemonade out of the cooler. Be sure and try a chocolate chip or peanut butter cookie.
This week’s topic is easy peazy. So here we go.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Really I love any of the Harry Potter Series. I have them in audible, movie, and hardback book. You guessed it, I’m a hard core fan as is my hubby.
The movie Dirty Dancing or Grease. Did you see the sing along version of Grease it aired on TV last week. Great fun!
Any of the One Scoop or Two Series by various authors with The WIld Rose Press. What’s not to like with a summer series about ice cream? Yep, I’ll have one coming out sometime this year titled Chocolate Raspberry Magic. Sounds yummy, huh?
Oh dear I left one out. Moana. Love that movie and it’s great soundtrack!
So there you have it, My “go to”book or movie for a pick-me- up. How about you? What’s your “go to” book or movie for a pick-me-up?
Alas, I must return to my writing cave where deadlines loom with final galley on my upcoming release HIDDEN GYPSY MAGIC, and Chocolate Raspberry Magic is in edits, and on a new WIP sixth book in A Demon’s Witch Series(very exciting and coming along very well) so let’s see what other authors list as their “go to” book or movie. Grease – yup, gotta’ agree it’s an upbeat flick!
Hey Karen! Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it!
I love Dirty Dancing! If only we had a sequel for it.
So true. Thanks for stopping by!
Wife and I watch Grease to remember when we were dating and watched the movie at the drive-in. https://pmprescott.blogspot.com/2020/06/wc-062420.html
Thanks for stopping by Patrick! Grease is the one. LOL
I love Grease! And Grease 2, honestly. The sequel was ridiculously silly, but that’s me in a nutshell, so… 🙂
My post
I understand exactly. Thanks for stopping by!
Who doesn’t love Grease and Dirty Dancing?
I’m kind of amused about the Harry Potter movie… I do love them (I actually think they did a pretty decent job with the movies), but I wouldn’t have guessed it would be a go-to for a pick-me-up. Amazing how different we all are!
Tena, here’s a post I did about my time in Colorado. Thought you might like it. https://pmprescott.blogspot.com/2020/06/ttt-062320.html
I enjoyed your post about your time in Colorado. Wow, didn’t know that book was made into a movie. Thanks for stopping by Patrick!
Oh, great selections! I really, really need to see Moana sometime.
My list is here.
You’ll enjoy it. Great music too. You’ll be humming the tunes the rest of the day! LOL Thanks for stopping by Michael!
I just saw Moana. What a cute movie. Good list!
Thank you Megan. Glad you stopped by!
Harry Potter is ultimate comfort reading – I think the second one makes me laugh the most though 🙂
I agree ultimate comfort reading or watching is Harry Potter. Thanks for stopping by!
I only just recently watched Dirty Dancing for the first time. I really liked it!
My go to movie is It’s A Mad Mad Mad Mad World. I laugh my ass off every time even though — and maybe especially because — I know all the joeks and can’t wait for them to come up.
Exactly. That is a great movie. Thanks for stopping my Anna!
When she yells, “I AM MOANA!”, I got shivers. That was an incredible moment in the movie.
I couldn’t agree more. Loved that whole segment. Thanks for stopping by Leah!!
Thanks for the topic. We definitely need go-to’s in stressful times to remind us trouble doesn’t last always.
So hard to go past Harry Potter. I remember the first time I read the first book. I cried! It was just so lovely.
