Recipes From Fictional Books #L&SR Weekly Blogging Challenge
Happy Holidays! Welcome to #L&SR’s Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge November 25, 2020, Recipes from fictional books that I want to try. I puzzled on this one until my puzzler was sore, again! (Dr. Seuss) Pull up a chair, grab a drink of your choice from the cauldron. Take your choice of a Chocolate Chip, Snickerdoodle, or Peanut Butter cookie from the plate.
I have read and own every Aunt Dimity Book Nancy Atherton has written. Could I find the book that had the Melt Aways in it. Nope. So I settled on this one, Sir Percy’s Favorite Sticky Lemon Cake from Aunt Dimity and the Deep Blue Sea.
I read a lot of books that do have recipes in them Diane Mott Davidson has the Goldy series that has wonderful recipes in them. But…. I can’t locate the Swedish Meatball recipe that I loved. My hubby an and I love to cook and bake. Problem with some of the fictional recipes is that I like to tweak a recipe to fit my tastes and needs.
Sorry I couldn’t come up with more recipes, but it being the day before Thanksgiving and I’ve got a lot to cook today, time is short. So I’ll just wish every one a Happy Thanksgiving!
Alas, I must return to my writing cave where deadlines loom preparing promo on my new release HIDDEN GYPSY MAGIC. Stay tuned! Chocolate Raspberry Magic release date been extended until April 2021. And I’ve turned in the sixth book in A Demon’s Witch Series to my editor at The WIld Rose Press. Fingers crossed she likes it. AND I’m starting a new project Wylder West Assignment. Keep an eye out for more information. Now let’s see what the other author’s list as funniest things that have happened to them. Hopefully they thought of more than I did. LOL L&SR

Wow, that cake sounds amazing!
It’s Yummy. I’ve made it once. Going to do it again soon. LOL Thanks for stopping bb Lydia!
So I did a bit of Google searching, and found Minnie’s Melting Moments which sound amazing, and also these Meltaways which don’t seem to be from the same book but also sound really scrumptious.
I may have to try them.
My response is here.
Thanks Michael! Those where what I was looking for. Make ’em once and lost the recipe. Gotta find that book. Glad you stopped by!
LOL…. I was thinking about the Aunt Dimity books. They are SO good. But it’s been so long since I’ve read them, I couldn’t actually come up with a recipe from them. I’m glad someone featured the series!
Love Aunt Dimity! Thanks for stopping by. She has a new one out first part of the year.
That looks yum!! Thanks for sharing.
Hm, I didn’t feature actual recipes in my blog. Basically just a request for recipes that others might have–for me. Bwa-ha-ha! Not a huge fan of lemon, though my MIL loves Lemon Meringue pie, so I make it for her at least once a year. And my son loves Lemon Poppy-seed muffins, or Lemon/Olive oil muffins. When I get in a lemon mood, I make them all, then disseminate them to those who love them. Me? I’m more of a chocolate dessert person. But tomorrow is all about the silky pumpkin pie–recipe is on my Pies page on my website. http://www.fionamcgier.com
This is the first I’ve heard of the Aunt Dimitry’s mysteries. I guess that’s going on my new years TBR list.
