Rachel Nelson and Boyd Phillips have been married for short time, enjoying kink at home as well as at Club Crave. Bondage has always been a hard limit for the feisty sub, thought it’s something she knows her sexy yet caring Dom wants to try. Can game night help her push past her fears and take their relationship to the next level?
A sneak peek between the pages of Bound To Love You.
Rachel Nelson smiled as she walked into Club Crave with her husband, Boyd. They’d been married for six months now; the best six months of her life. She’d never been happier. She’d found a man who enjoyed kink as much as she did.
Game night was always fun, yet tonight, her nerves were stretched tight. The past few weeks at the club, Boyd had wanted to try bondage, and she had kept putting him off. Game night always pushed a subs boundaries a bit, and she could only hope he didn’t push too far.
The club wasn’t crowded yet. She glanced around but didn’t see any of her friends. Anna,
Paige, and Olivia had told her at lunch yesterday they would be there. Especially since game night was for select couples.
Excited for tonight?” Boyd asked, raising their joined hands so he could kiss the back of hers.
“Yes, Sir. Game night is always fun.” Anticipation warred with her taut nerves.
“Good.” With his free hand, he brushed a lock of her hair away from her face. “Your hair is falling down.”
She automatically raised her hand to her head. Dang it, the pins were already coming loose. “Yes, Sir. Excuse me while I go to the ladies’ room.”
“Let me. It’s my fault since I messed it up.” Boyd turned her around, and his hands slid into her hair. She shivered as he pulled the pins out, then gathered her hair and put the pins back in.

Surprise Me Again by Anita Kidesu
Give a big welcome to Anita Kidesu, author of Surprise Me Again. Have a seat and grab an insulated mug. I’ve got hot chocolate, hot cider and coffee. Choose your pot, they’re labeled. Pick your choice of a Snicker-doodle, Chocolate Chip or frosted heart shaped sugar cookie from the plate. Yep, I baked them myself. Thanks for joining us!
Tell us a little about writing this story Anita. “Surprise Me Again,” actually started out as a short story called “Surprise Me, for the Candy Heart Series with The Wild Rose Press. As I was working on it, I realized Josie and Carson’s story couldn’t be told in a few pages, so I knew there would be a continuing book. I struggled with Surprise Me until one day, as I was sitting on my deck, Josie and Carson screamed at me what they wanted. When I did what they said, the story flowed like a river.
I write by the seat of my pants. I do plot out my characters, know the setting, and have a good idea where I want the story to go. But those darn characters don’t always listen to me. If I were a plotter, I think I would go crazy when the story didn’t go as I wanted.
I see you brought Erik with you. Got time for a couple of questions?
“If they’re quick, I need to get going. Carson is expecting me.”
What event in your past has left the most indelible impression on you? “When my ex-wife and I were trying to have children and we found out I was the problem. She left me for “a real man who could father her children.” It was as if I’d been kicked in the heart by a horse. I was willing to adopt, she wasn’t.”
What do you most value? “Family. I wanted a family so badly. It didn’t matter if the child was of my blood or not.”
What is the type of woman you want to spend the rest of your life with? “I believe I found her. She’s funny, caring, smart. And most of all, she accepts me for who I am, not what I can or can’t give her.”
What do you consider most important in life? “Love. Without love, we’re all lost.”
What is your biggest secret?” Hmm. That’s a tough one. I’m not a secretive kind of guy. In fact, growing up, my siblings never told me secrets because I couldn’t keep them. Now I really got to go, nice meeting you!” Erik waves and hurries out the back door into the parking lot.
The front door chimes. Josie, nice to see you! Got time for a few questions before heading out with Anita?
“Sure, I guess so.”
Who were the biggest role models in your life? Without a doubt it would be my parents. They had a solid marriage, are hard-working, supported my brothers and sisters and myself in whatever we chose to do – unless it would harm us. They were quiet in their reprimands. In fact, I wish there had been times when they’d just yell at me.
What kind of man do you want to spend the rest of your life with? A man who supported me in my goals. One who wanted to be with me, and I with him, but let me be my own person. Someone with a sense of humor, smart, caring. I think I just described my husband.
What kind of man would you never choose? That’s easy. One who thinks he knows what a woman wants and needs to tell her what to do. You know – the man is always right.
What is most important to you in life? My family. My husband, sons, parents, siblings.
What is your biggest fear? Losing my husband of one of my children.
Thanks so much Josie. Anita, how about a teaser for Surprise Me Again?
Charged with trespassing and indecent exposure on Erik Stenson’s private beach, Carson and Josie Sandberg return to South Padre Island to take care of the ticket. However, their reunion with Erik is not what they expected. An invitation for a drink turns into a weekend of passion that fulfills fantasies and leaves all parties wanting to explore a threesome outside the bedroom. Will time, distance, and family issues stand in the way, or will they be surprised again?
Where can we find Surprise Me Again?

Any chance we could get a sneak peek into Surprise Me Again? “Of course.”
“What about you?” Josie said. “Have you ever been married?”
“I was. Years ago. It didn’t last.”
A flicker of sorrow passed over Josie’s eyes. “Can you tell us what happened?” She frowned into her drink. “That is, if you want to.”
“It’s okay. I married Jessica about…” Hell how long had it been? Where had the time gone? “I guess nearly twenty years ago. Like you, we met in college, fell in love, married. Things were good for a few years.”
Josie leaned to her side, allowing the waiter to place a plate before her. Ignoring her food, she folded her hands under chin and kept her attention on him. “What happened?”
“We wanted children. Jessica ached for children. It became an obsession.” Eric took one of the large shrimp from the platter in the middle of the table and began peeling it with trembling fingers, giving him a chance to get his emotions under control. Lord, how he’d wanted children, but not enough to end his marriage.
“After a few years when we didn’t conceive, we looked for answers. By that time Jessica was convinced she was the problem and fell into a deep depression. Nothing I did helped. She wouldn’t agree to see a counselor. My mother finally convinced us to seek a fertilization doctor.” Eric threw the shrimp on his plate and took a long swallow of beer. “Turns out I was the problem, not her. Seems those mumps I’d had as a kid did a number on my little swimmers. Killed them all.”
“Hell, that’s awful, man,” Carson said while Josie placed her hand on Eric’s.
Their sympathy nearly did him in. He swallowed around the lump in his throat and squeezed his damp eyes.
After all these years, the pain was still buried under his heart only to surface on dark, lonely nights and like now as he recounted the story. They were the first ones he’d opened up to. None of the other people in his threesomes had even cared to ask.
Carson took a sip of his beer. “What happened then?”
“I wanted to adopt. Wanted to create a family with Jessica. It didn’t matter if the children were of our blood or not. The doctors had talked about in-vitro. Turns out Jessica didn’t feel the same way.” He took deep breath and tried to calm his pounding heart. He wiped his palms on his shorts.
“I came home one day with information on adoption and some on in-vitro fertilization only to find her and her stuff gone. She had left me a note, telling me she wanted children from her own body. Wanted to create them naturally. Didn’t want to be married to a man who wasn’t a man.”
“The bitch,” Josie said, her eyes filling with tears. “Oops, sorry. I shouldn’t have called her that.”
“Don’t worry. I’ve called her that and worse.”
“How the hell did you handle it?” Carson asked. “I would have been devastated if Josie had done that to me.”
“I drank and buried myself in my writing. I wrote my first novel during this time.”
“If I recall, that book was rather cutting against women,” Carson said.
Eric shook his head and chuckled. “Yeah. I enjoyed killing off my heroine. Coincidentally, she closely resembled my ex.”
“Did you get in trouble for it?” Josie asked, peeling her third shrimp.
“Since I use a pen name, I don’t think she even knows I write. Besides, she was too busy finding another husband to father her eight children.”
Carson choked on his beer. “Eight?”
“Yeah. She really did want kids, but I’m not sure I would have agreed to that many. I was also told she’s gained about a hundred pounds.” Under Josie’s quiet scrutiny, he dropped his gaze to his plate.
“It still hurts, though, doesn’t it?” Josie asked.
Eric shrugged. “It’s not as bad as it was. I sometimes think about how I could have kids in college or be a grandfather by now.”

Now Anita, a little about you and just a few questions before you are off and running with Josie.
: From the time she was a teenager, Anita would sneak her grandmother’s romances and read them until all hours of the night. She never thought about creating one herself, but fell into it with a few friends. On a long road trip, they started talking about their favorite authors and why they like their books. To kill time, they started making up their own characters and plot.
From that point on, Anita had story ideas and characters filling her head. Finally, to shut them up, (or so she thought), she started writing them down, surprised at how erotic her characters wanted to be. Her first book with The Wild Rose Press, “South Seas Seduction,” was published in March, 2015. Her short story, “Surprise Me,” part of the Candy Hearts Series, was published in January, 2016. The continuing story, “Surprise Me Again,” was released on February 10, 2017.
Now, in between being a pharmacist, taking care of her two cats, and spending time with her family and friends, she writes. Her stories are about love and romance on the edge.
Speed round, shout first thing that comes to your mind.
Who is your favorite character of all the books you’ve written and why? I think it would be Eric Stenson from “Surprise Me Again.” All he ever wanted was a family of his own. After being rejected by his wife because he couldn’t give her children, he felt he was a reject. When he found Josie and Carson, his life seemed on track again. But when they rejected him, his heart was broken.
Do you find it easier to write from a male or female point of view? Why? When I first started writing, I had an easier time writing from the female POV. But lately , it’s been the male’s POV that I have fun with. I’m not sure if it’s because as I get older, I’m learning that men have the same insecurities, same dreams, same desire for love that women have. They just have a different way of processing it and letting us know what they want.
What do you do when you’re not writing? I love photography, hiking, biking, camping, and of course reading. Even though I have a full-time job besides writing, I can still read at least one book a week. Sometimes it’s more if the book is shorter. I can understand people who say they don’t have time to read. There is always time to read.
You’ve got a time machine, a cloak of invisibility, and one hour. Where would you go, and what eavesdropping would you do? My first reaction would be to go back and eavesdrop on Abraham Lincoln as he was writing the Gettysburg Address. I can’t imagine the emotional pain he was going through during this turbulent time in our history.

Welcome Author Anna Durand
Give a warm welcome to Anna Durand, author of the Dangerous In A Kilt. Well, where is Anna? Looking around the only person I see is a HOT Scot (fanning self).
Now who might you be?
“Lachlan MacTaggart. I believe Anna is on her way, asked me to step in for at bit.”
Oh, oh, you’re the hero from Dangerous In A Kilt. Okay, lets have a chat, while we wait for Anna. Pull up a chair, grab a drink of your choice from the cooler, a Chocolate Chip, Peanutbutter or Snickerdoodle cookie from the plate, and let’s find out what makes this hero tick.
Lachlan MacTaggart, Tell us about the real you—
What event in your past has left the most indelible impression on you? Och, you ask hard questions, woman! I don’t enjoy thinking about it, my failed marriage and the…things that happened. It haunts me to this day.
What do you most value? Family means everything to me. My brothers can be irritating, and my sisters poke their noses into my business, but I love them anyway.
What is the type of woman you want to spend the rest of your life with? Ah…Another difficult one. Part of me wants nothing to do with forever, but since I met Erica, I’m torn. She’s smart, she makes me laugh, and yet she’s vulnerable enough to make me long to protect her. She could be a true partner in life, the only kind of woman who might change my mind about love.
What do you consider most important in life? Respect for others. I can’t abide bullies or those who would bend another to their will just for the sake of control.
What is your biggest secret? Well now, if I told you that it wouldn’t be a secret, lass. Besides, I can’t have Erica finding out about my worst mistake. How could she ever respect me again?
Thanks for being here Lachlan and answering the HARD questions. I guess Anna got hung up. If you don’t want to run into Erica, you might want to exit out the back door. Quickly.
The Hot Scot moves faster than I believed possible out the back entrance, and in the nick of time!
Well, well, would you look who just walked in. Welcome, Erica! Have a seat, grab a drink and there’s a few cookies left. Let’s find out a little about you.
Who were the biggest role models in your life? My parents. They taught me right from wrong and to believe in myself–though sometimes I forget that little lesson.
What kind of man do you want to spend the rest of your life with? Ugh, I don’t have the best track record with picking guys. But more than anything I want a man who’s strong but compassionate, has a great sense of humor, never lies to me, and–of course–loves my dog. Starting to sound a bit like someone I just met…
What kind of man would you never choose? The kind who sweet talks you until you can’t see straight, but underneath, he’s just a liar.
What is most important to you in life? Freedom. I may not have it much longer, seeing as I’m charged with embezzlement, so I intend to seize what little I have left to me.
What is your biggest fear? Picking another sleazebag like Presley Cichon. I fell for his honeyed words and got whacked upside the head for it. I never want to make that mistake again.
Finally, Anna, do you have any idea how close I came to having Lachlan and Erica in the studio at the same time? Not that it would have matter much, but Erica sure wouldn’t have answered my questions. I’d offer you a cold drink, but your characters drank them all and Lachlan ate all the cookies but two and Erica ate those, sorry. But thanks for stopping by. Do you have time for a question or two?
“I’m really behind, but yes, I’ll make time for one.”
Anna, Tell us a little about writing Dangerous in a Kilt. Was it fun or difficult? Do your characters always act as you expect? Are you a plotter, or fly (write) by the seat of your pants?
This story came to life in a roundabout way. I’d begun researching Scottish history for a planned historical romance, but when I realized how long the research would take, I decided in the meantime I’d write a different kind of Scottish hero–in a contemporary erotic romance. I also resurrected the underground club from Tempted by a Kiss and set key parts of Dangerous in a Kilt in that club, because I loved the atmosphere of it. I had a great time writing this book! I poured all my passion for writing into the story, creating characters I didn’t want to say goodbye to at the end and a scorching love story I never wanted to finish.
Oh, I totally understand and Lachlan is hot! Whew!

Welcome Author Anna Durand!
Give a warm welcome to Anna, author of Tempted By A Kiss!
Pull up a chair, grab a drink of your choice from the cooler, a Chocolate Chip cookie from the plate, and let’s find out a little about Anna.
Who is your favorite character of all of the books you’ve written and Why?
I adore all my heroes and heroines, but I especially love Adam Caras from my short story Tempted by a Kiss and the upcoming novel version, Fired Up. He’s very different from the heroes I’ve written before, in that he’s a womanizer. Underneath the lady-killer façade, though, he longs for a deeper connection and real love. His painful past, which we learn a lot about in Fired Up, has influenced his lifestyle choices and reveals who he really is–a good man in love with his best friend, Mel, who’s totally clueless. Adam’s devotion to her is what I love most about him.
Do you see yourself in your characters?
It’s only natural that a little bit of the writer bleeds through in the characters, but I find my heroines are a little bit me and a little bit what I’d like to be. Even my villains have a teeny bit of me in them. We all have flaws and things we think about that we wouldn’t want anyone to know. For most of us, those thoughts are fleeting and never acted on, but villains pounce on their darker impulses.
What do you want your readers to take away from your books?
A smile! Always. I write romances because I love the happy ending. If I can make the reader smile at the end of the story, and feel the fantasy has been totally fulfilled, then I’ve done my job.
Why do you write what you write? Contemporary, paranormal, suspense, etc.
I write both paranormal and contemporary romances (and soon historical) because I love the unique challenges each genre presents. When I wrote Tempted by a Kiss, my first contemporary romance and my first erotic romance, I felt like I was taking a big risk because my previous books had been paranormal. In paranormal romance, I get to make up the rules of the world; my characters can have psychic abilities or wield power over the weather. In contemporary stories, I have to realistically depict the modern world and populate the story with characters who can’t read each other’s minds or cast spells to resurrect the dead. As a writer, I enjoy the restrictions. They push me to be more creative.
Tell us a little about Tempted By A Kiss.
Mel Thompson just dumped her cheating ex after two years together. Now she’s determined to understand the allure of casual sex by having a steamy fling of her own at a notoriously raunchy underground club. When her best friend, Adam Caras, catches on to her plan, he makes a surprising offer to derail her. If she wants a hot fling, he’ll give it to her.
Who better than Adam, renowned lady-killer, to demonstrate the erotic pleasures of a one night stand? Sex could ruin their friendship, but after a soul-searing kiss, Mel fears one night may never be enough.
Do you have an excerpt for us?
This time, he offered me his hand, palm up. I stared at it. My stomach fluttered, though I had no clue why. I’d danced with Adam a number of times, at weddings and parties.
A strange warmth rushed through me, but evaporated in an instant. The hand, the one attached to the arm of my best friend, waited patiently. I settled my palm in his. He curled his fingers around my hand. I hopped off the stool and let him guide me toward the dance floor. The music had segued from an up-tempo number to a slow, seductive beat with an enticing melody, played on exotic instruments. The song conjured visions of a Middle Eastern palace, belly dancers, and hot, dark men with lascivious intentions.
We sidled between the other dancers, wending our way across the dance floor on the hunt for a vacant slot. At last, we broke out of the masses into a cramped space just wide enough for the two of us, forcing me to move closer to Adam. He pivoted on his heels to face me and, keeping my hand in his, lifted it in a ballroom dancing position. His other hand lightly rested on my hip. This was what I expected from a dance with Adam. Then he dragged me into him, my body suddenly crushed against his heat. My heart skipped. The strobes had given way to soft, pulsing golden lights. In the twilight of the floor, I couldn’t make out his expression. Entwined with Adam, aware of every hard line of his muscles, I was paralyzed.
