Sneak peek between the pages of Mystic Maples:
“Yes sir.” She scampered up the steps and entered the vardo. The warm oak shimmered at her touch. The interior was decorated in yellows, oranges and gold. Embroidered pillows had matching fringe. The bed at the end of the wagon was covered with a light orange velvet spread with golden threads woven through it. The scroll work carved on the beams of the arched ceiling was breath-taking. The light cream upholstery on the small sofa resembled crush velvet. Long strands of crystals hung between the bedroom and the rest of the interior. A small copper stove sat opposite the couch with matching light oak cabinetry just inside the doorway. In the middle of the vardo an old weathered chest was completely out of place. She leaned over.
“Don’t touch that,” he barked. It was too late.
Her fingers stroked the rusted padlock. It sprang open. Puffs of dried soil sprinkled the carpet around the chest. He placed a restraining hand on her arm just as she tentatively dug her fingers into the soil. “This isn’t from your land. It’s —.” A swirl of colors sucked them in and a feeling of weightlessness surrounded her. She grabbed a hold of Sil’s arm. Then suddenly they were back inside the wagon.
Only something was amiss, the silence, the earthy smell wasn’t right. She shivered. What have I done? Taking a deep breath, she whirled around to face Sil.
“What the hell just happened?”
He shrugged. “You promised not to touch a thing. Lets get out of here.” Reaching for the vardo’s handle, he pushed down and the door opened into a small barn. He strode to the door, tugging Mercy along with him. When he shoved it open moonlight spread across an open field casting silvery shadows through the bordering trees. Off in the distance stood a ramshackle cabin.
A warm breeze swept her hair across her face. She stared unblinking. Nothing about the landscape was familiar except the stands of young trees. She bent as if to touch the soil.
His arm flew out and prevented her from reaching the ground. “Its true,” he murmured surveying the area. His lips set in a thin line, he rubbed his temples and stared. Mocking her. “I won’t touch a thing. Well… you did and now…”
“Now what?” she whispered.
He sucked in a breath. With his hand at the small of her back, he urged her up the stairs of the vardo.”I think we better go back inside and talk.”

A little about Security Force of Two:
Miacoh Zane, a Special Forces veteran, returns to Aspen Ridge, Colorado a small town nestled in the Rocky Mountains, to settle his beloved grandmother’s estate. But the town holds painful memories and family secrets he wants to leave behind for good.
Candle Bearclaw, a gifted computer analyst/programmer with talents she’s buried when recruited out of college by the CIA. After fifteen years, she abruptly resigns her position with the agency. She returns to her sleepy hometown only to discover her childhood crush has also returned and a violent crime has been committed.
Due to their covert operations experience, Candle and Miacoh are thrown together to assist Homeland Security, FBI, and her father, former chief of police, with a murder investigation. As they search for the perpetrators, will their secrets be revealed as the investigation takes an unusual twist that could blow the case wide open.
A peek between the pages of Security Force of Two:
Candle Bearclaw stood in front of Carl’s large mahogany desk, laid the unsealed white envelope face up on the polished desktop, and slid it toward her boss.
“What’s this?” Carl eyed the offending envelope.
“It’s what we talked about last week, my resignation.” Candle swung her briefcase onto the leather chair beside her. Pulling out a laptop computer, a manila file folder, and a memory stick, she sat them on the corner of her boss’s desk. “It’s all here, including the passwords necessary to access the sensitive files, my work thus far on the assignment, including my contacts, and it’s a good stopping point for me. Someone else should be able to pick up exactly where I left off, seamlessly. I am requesting a no contact status by you and the agency.” She pulled out a .380 semi-automatic tucked into the waistband of her slacks, ejected the magazine, and racked the slide open. Gingerly setting the gun on the desk beside the other items, she sighed.
He looked across the desk at her, observing her actions. “I understand your position, but that may not be possible. How deep were you?”
Hands flat on the desktop, she leaned over and glared at him. “Deep enough to understand the assignment went against every fiber of my being. You knew that when you assigned it to me, and yet, you did it anyway, knowing it would be my final act as a CIA operative.”

An Angel’s Wylder Assignment #MFRWHooks
Yippee!! #MFRWHooks presents An Angels Wylder Assignment, a riveting paranormal romance, #mystery, #western, #historical, #timetravel. Join the #fantasy #adventure, grab a copy or two today! An impromptu assignment for a Scottish Warrior Angel and a Native American shapeshifter from present day, must time travel to 1878 in an effort to unravel a dangerous mystery
A little about An Angel’s Wylder Assignment:
Warrior Angel Killian Dugan’s annual trip to the family castle in Scotland is shattered by the arrival of Legion Commander North. Killian’s skills are needed for an urgent time travel assignment. A rogue demon has escaped back in time. He must discover the why and where and stop the demon before it can damage the past and change the future.
Killian’s girlfriend Chinoah Grace, a Native American shapeshifter is included in the mission which takes them to the wild west town of Wylder, Wyoming in the year 1878. She will have her hands full fitting in and making friends.
Nothing is as it seems. They encounter visions, spirit quests, and a mysterious shaman. On top of it all, blending in as a blacksmith is more physically difficult than he imagined. But not as challenging as keeping his hands off his undercover wife. Will they complete their assignment or run out of time?
A new peek between the pages of An Angel’s Wylder Assignment:
He turned his attention out the window where the snow swirled in the howling wind. “Besides, who in bloody hell would be calling at this time of night and in this weather?”
She raised an eyebrow and shrugged. “Only one group of individuals I know.”
“Oh, no. I’m on leave. They didn’t know where I was going. Besides, they wouldn’t expect me to be here.” The ancient wooden door groaned then made a squeeing sound when Killian yanked it open. “What in tarnation are you doing here?”
Chinoah stood on tiptoe and stepped to the side to see who was at the door. “Angels always know. At least that’s what you tell me,” she whispered against his ear.
He shot her a warning glance and turned his attention to the situation at hand.
“Nice to see you too.” Warrior Legion Commander Nathanial North stood on the stoop with Sean, two of his warrior angels, and Caden, who was now a liaison to the legion rather than a warrior, due to injuries.
At first, Killian held tight to the door. “So am I to assume this is not a social visit?” Large wet snowflakes swirled around the visitors and into the doorway.
“If you let us in, I’ll tell you the reason for our visit.” Nat glanced up at the snow drifting over his warriors.
“Oh, of course.” He grudgingly stepped back, gently moving Chinoah over, and allowed the warriors to enter. “Can I get you something? Coffee?”
“I’ve cinnamon rolls frozen. Only take a few minutes to thaw and warm them up?” Chinoah offered, turning toward the kitchen.
“We’d appreciate your offerings. It’s damn cold out there.” Nat extended his hand.
He hesitantly took his offered hand. “Don’t make me sorry I let you guys in. I’m on holiday for part of November and the entire month of December. Planning on spending the holidays with my cousin and his family.”
Nat frowned and pursed his lips. “You may have to adjust your plans.”
“Aww shit. I knew it. The problem is that my cousin won’t be back for three weeks. I promised to take care of the castle while he’s gone. It’s an arrangement we have every year. Lowers my stress and keeps me from ending up like Caden.” He couldn’t help adding the little jab. Caden was a liaison to the legion due to what boiled down to PTSD angel style during a dark demon battle.
“This year I was planning on spending the holidays with Tavish’s family.” Killian reluctantly motioned the group of men to have a seat in the room facing the huge stone fireplace. “Can’t it wait until after the holidays?”
“I’m afraid not. Caden and Mystic have offered to take your place here at your cousin’s home. Your assignment can’t wait.” Nat grimaced.
He huffed out a breath. “How bad is it?”

A sneak peek between the pages of A WITCH’S HOLIDAY WEDDING:
The flurry of voices faded away as Pepper watched the ebb and flow of the negotiations between the two men, while the others in the room looked on. Was Lathen torn between his commitment to the Center and life as a SEAL? She needed him there—Until a few years ago, most of his adult life was spent in service to his country, a commitment he’d given freely until he’d sustained life altering injuries.
Was it possible to return to the SEALs? From what she’d heard and read, that wasn’t likely. So what did they want him to do? Or were they willing to make an exception? She couldn’t…wouldn’t think about that, she was overreacting. Despite her resolve, her thoughts kept swirling. Would taking this assignment require long absences from her—the Center? That would never work. She needed him—the Center needed him. Alec and Mike depended on him in more ways…
“Pepper…Pepper…” Lathen’s voice penetrated her thoughts. “What do you think?”
She blinked and peered up at him. “About what?” When she took a minute to clear her head, she glanced from his steeled expression to the Lt. Commander’s thunderous demeanor. There was really no other way to describe it. A storm raged beneath his attempt at a calm facade. Her lips twitched, he hadn’t expected this. Or had he?
In a dangerously low voice, rocking back on his heels, Lathen said, “My family, Alaska, Pepper, and the Center are off limits. If you can abide by that, you’ll have the opportunity to spread all your cards on the table, at a time and place of my choosing.”
Raymond tented his fingers and shook his head. “Time is of the essence. And I’ll need to know where you got the intel.”
Lathen’s eyebrow winged up, he shrugged. “You should have thought about that before you went nosing into my private life. Searching for leverage, where there is none, to force me to do what you wanted.”
“We can’t afford the whispers to be true.”
“What the hell are you talking about?” Lathen stared incredulously at Ray.
Thank you for stopping by next week we will return to Sunday Snippets. Please check back next week for another exciting adventure!
