Yet Another New Giveaway & A Warlock’s Secrets Release!

Pull up a chair, grab a drink of your choice from the cooler, choose from a piece of chocolate fudge cake and ice cream, or strawberry shortcake to celebrate my new release A Warlock’s Secrets.
First let me tell you what inspired A Warlock’s Secrets.
A Warlock’s Secrets came to fruition after several readers and a couple of reviewers asked or assumed Tristian’s story was next in the Demon’s Witch Series. In truth, I’d never considered writing his story. He was the Demon Overlords enforcer/assassin, for heaven’s sake. After delving into who he really is and what he wants, come to find out, he has a strong moral compass and when love comes his way he is fiercely protective and everything Hannah is looking for in a man. A Warlock’s Secrets, second book in the Demon’s Witch Series is available June 14th!
A little about A Warlock’s Secrets:
Years ago, a sacred ceremony at the Dragon’s Moon Coven turned deadly. Son of the high priestess, Tristian Shandie’s life changed forever. With a price on his head and revenge in his heart, he has no choice but to follow in his father’s footsteps to a profession shrouded in secrets. Now his skills as an enforcer for the Demon Overlord are second to none. But dangerous secrets he harbors are a liability he can no longer afford.
A chance meeting with a woman he finds irresistible flips Tristian’s world upside down. Hannah is a cyber security specialist with secrets of her own. Bad boys never appealed to her until Tristian, who changes everything. In his darkest hours, she is dragged into his magical world
If they survive, is she strong enough to heal his heart and tame the warlock? Or will their secrets destroy them?
A NEW Sneak Peek between the pages of A Warlock’s Secrets: Oh, yeah I love the cover!
He offered his hand to Hannah as she stood, wrapped an arm around her waist and guided her out of the diner. “How about a ride up the coast?”
“Sure as soon as you explain how you held those teens down without touching them.” She smiled up at him knowingly. “And don’t give me that crap about telling me or killing me.”
A slight grin curved the corners of his mouth. “How about on an as needed basis and you don’t need to know?”
A soft laugh bubbled up from her throat. “If I had to guess, I’d say you’re a warlock with well-honed powers.” She tilted her head up towards his. “Would I be right?”
HIs grin faded replaced with a stormy expression. “Where would you get that absurd idea? They merely tripped and had trouble getting up. I suggested they stay put until the police showed up. Simple as that.”
“Right. Well on that note, I’ll see myself home.” She turned to her car and opened the door.
For a moment, he considered letting her go. Women are more trouble than they’re worth anyway. That’s when the meddling voice of Birch wafted through Tristian’s mind. She’s moved on, so should you. Damn faeries anyway. I’m sure he’s using some kind of magic to do this to me.
“Okay, you win. But only if you tell me why you are disguising your magic signature.” He leaned against the car a smirk on his face.

Writing The Wolf by Steffanie Holmes
Give a warm welcome to USA Today’s Best Selling Author Steffanie Holmes with her latest release Writing The Wolf!
Pull up a chair, grab a drink of your choice from the cooler, a Chocolate Chip or Peanut Butter cookie from the plate, and let’s find out a little about Steffanie and Writing The Wolf. OH… don’t forget to enter the rafflecopter below for a chance to win Writing the Wolf.
Tell us a little about Writing The Wolf.
What inspired this particular story, Steffanie?
Writing the Wolf came about because I wanted to write more books with diverse characters. I think that’s a really important issue that isn’t being addressed as much as it should be in modern genre fiction. But I didn’t just want to stick a “token” person-of-colour in and call that “diverse”. I wanted a story that really hinged on how the character identified herself, and how others identified her.
I am not a person-of-colour, but when I talked to friends who are about their experiences, I realised I shared similar experiences as a person who was bullied for a disability. I knew what it was like to walk into a room and feel different from everyone else. I pulled up all those feelings and tried to use them to bring reality to Rosa’s character.
Writing the Wolf is all about escape, in both a literal and physical sense. Rosa runs away to Crookshollow Forest to escape the horrible people in her town, and she also writes to escape from the reality of all the abuse she’s endured. Caleb escaped from his horrible family, and now’s he’s trying to help Rosa escape from the situation he’s placed her in by declaring her his mate. Sometimes, escape is the right solution. Rosa absolutely should have left her town. But in the end, you can’t escape from yourself. You have to turn around and face your demons, and thats what both Rosa and Caleb do, together.
Sounds like an interesting read and something most people could relate to one way or the other.
Did you tell friends and family that you were writing a book? Or did it take a while to come out and tell friends and family you were a writer?
This is actually kind of a funny story. I write and publish dark dystopian fantasy under the name S C Green. My friends all knew about that. One day I was at a party and we were talking about 50 Shades of Grey. I’d read the first chapter but couldn’t continue because the writing was … not great, in my opinion. So I was spouting off about this to a friend, and she was rightly getting a bit annoyed with me acting all superior. So she said, “it’s not as if you could write a romance book, Steff.”
And I thought. “You know what? Challenge accepted.”
So I wrote my book Witch Hunter. And then I wrote the Crookshollow foxes and published all those. Then, and only then, did I tell my friends about my romance books. They couldn’t believe it!
I guess you showed them. LOL! Why do you write what you write? Contemporary, paranormal, suspense, etc.
I write paranormal, because I love how you can use supernatural creatures and forces to play with different themes that have a direct impact on the real, tangible world. Often, you can say more when you’re not talking about something “real”. In Writing the Wolf, Caleb has to hide who he is from the world. How many of us feel as though that’s something we do every day?
Also, it’s just damn fun.
I couldn’t agree with you more. It’s great fun! So…what do you like to do when you are not writing?
All sorts of things! My husband and I live on a lifestyle block (homestead) in New Zealand, so there is always a ton of work to do on the house or in the gardens. We built this crazy house that’s inspired by medieval castle architecture, and we host these ridiculous medieval banquets and parties for our friends. I love to cook and brew my own alcohol, and we love to travel and explore the world together. We’re both into music (mainly heavy metal, but lots of other things, too) so we always go off to see bands or overseas to festivals.
Sounds like we have a lot in common. Love medieval castle architecture and those Medieval banquest and parties would be blast! New Zealand is on our travel plans one day too.
Do you have a snippet for us?
Rosa
Rosa just wants to be left alone to write her book, but when werewolves attempt to kidnap her, she realizes her neighbor Caleb is the only one who can protect her. But Caleb is hiding a secret of his own … fur and sparks fly in this hot paranormal romance.
I need to escape.
After those racist bastards destroyed my home, I can’t face the world again.
I’ve rented a cabin in the heart of the Crookshollow forest. I’m going to lock myself away and work on my book. I’m going to write my story.
And I absolutely, positively WILL NOT think about Caleb, the hunky labourer who’s fixing up my cabin.
No way.
I won’t think about the way his eyes melt my heart, and his smile melts my panties.
I’m too emotionally raw right now. I can’t handle a fling, especially not with a white guy.
Especially not a guy like him. A guy who shags and leaves. I can’t handle any more heartache.
Caleb
Rosa Parker – clever writer, black woman, total hottie.
The connection between us sizzles – there’s no denying it: this woman is my mate.
When I’m near her, all I want to do is claim her.
If only I wasn’t the biggest threat to her life right now.
With a rogue wolf pack after my hide, I can’t afford a distraction. Even a distraction as alluring as her.
I need to keep my wolfish instincts in check.
But I can’t help myself.
Rosa Parker has got under my skin.
And I won’t stop until I’ve made her mine.

Excerpt:
Inside the house, a shadow passed by the huge bay window. She held her breath. Am I really going to go through with this?
Walking up the steps to the house, she paused. Why would he leave such an expensive car sitting out when he had a four-car garage? She was stalling. Straightening her shoulder’s she used the brass doorknocker. There was no answer. She knocked again.
The heavy oak door creaked open. Tristian stood shirtless, his abs rippled as he raised one muscular arm to lean on the doorframe. The skintight blue jeans hung low on his hips and his hair tousled as if he’d not been awake long.
When he stared at her, with those huge blue-gray eyes, tingles careened up her spine. She covered her mouth in case drool pooled in the corners her mouth. He was one sexy male. She sucked in a breath and opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out. A brow arched, he peered questioningly at her then twisted to glance backward into the house. The sunlight streaming through the doorway accentuated several scars across his chest, rib area and a healed slash across his back. Who gets those kinds of battle scars and lives to tell the tale? Not going to ask. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea after all.
The corner of his mouth curved up in an inviting sexy-as-hell grin. “Good morning, Hannah. What a surprise.”
Available for pre-order at Amazon, Kobo, Barnes& Noble, itunes

Release Day for A Witch’s Holiday Wedding

Happy Holidays everyone. Come on in, grab a Snickerdoodle or Gingerbread Cookie. The insulated mugs are on the table beside the pots of hot chocolate, hot cider and coffee which are labeled. Pour a mug and make yourself comfortable. Today, I’m taking this opportunity to showcase my a new release A Witch’s Holiday Wedding. It’s the sequel to A Witch’s Journey, set in Lobster Cove, Maine.
I absolutely loved writing these books. I’ve always wanted to visit a small coastal town in Maine, vacation in a cabin or in our fifth wheel on the coast. Walk through the town taking in the ambiance and watching the changing moods of the ocean. Sit and listen to the seabirds and watch the wildlife from a big wrap-around porch. Well, you get the picture. While I wrote these books, that’s where my imagination whisked me off to each day. The world around me faded away as I slipped into a chair in front of my computer and my fingers flew over the keyboard. Elated as I wrote the end, it was sad to say goodbye to my characters. However, a little glimmer of magic spiked as I considered the possibility of telling Gwen and Brock’s story one day. We’ll see. LOL
I love to make new friends and chat with readers, authors and well, just about anyone. LOL Want to know what’s next for me? Sign up for my quarterly newsletter, it’s on my website. You can find me at:

Right now Pepper and Lathen take center stage as their final chapter unfolds in A Witch’s Holiday Wedding. Let me tell you a little about it.
Elemental witch, Pepper McKay and former Navy SEAL, Lathen Quartz have built Lobster Cove Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Center on enchanted McKay land. During a romantic interlude on Halloween night, Pepper happily agrees to become Lathen’s wife. What better day than Winter Solstice for their wedding in a town that loves celebrations and Christmas. However, planning a wedding and operating their wildlife center takes a toll on both Pepper and Lathen.
When the couple takes a much-needed break for Thanksgiving with family in Colorado, a Maine snowstorm fills the center with injured wildlife. Lathen finds himself drawn into a covert military mission, while trying to deal with issues concerning friends and family. Pepper wants to cancel the wedding. Is she having second thoughts? Will the nosy McKay ghosts, Lathen’s werewolf pack, Pepper’s parents, and her best friend help or hinder the wedding and holiday plans?
Shall we take a little sneak peek into the story and their lives?
They strolled down the sidewalk toward the parking lot and admired the holiday decorations in the shop windows. He helped her into the truck and closed the door, scooting over to the driver’s door in a blink of an eye. He rubbed his hands together and started the engine, turned the defroster on as the windows began to fog.
Half an hour later, Lathen turned the truck onto the gravel drive to the cabin, slowed, and stared at the dark SUV parked in front of the cabin. Slowly he guided the truck behind the vehicle, noticing that the plates were government issue. What the hell is this?
Pepper leaned forward in her seat. “What’s a government SUV doing sitting in front of our home?”
“Maybe it’s the DIFW,” Lathen said hopefully. He turned off the headlights and cut the engine. The doors opened on the SUV, and four men in suits stepped out and waited.
Oh shit, this doesn’t bode well. He recognized one of the men, Lt. Commander Raymond Sale. Lathen jumped out of the truck as Pepper opened her door. “Pepper, why don’t you go on inside, let Tonk and Ember out, but keep them close. I’ll just be a minute.”
A Witch’s Holiday Wedding is available at: Amazon, Kobo, The Wild Rose Press, All Romance, and Barnes & Noble.
