#L&SR’s Wednesday Blogging Challenge, Favorite Songs or Musicians.
Happy Holidays and welcome to #L&SR’s Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge November 4, 2020, Favorite Songs or Musicians. What fun! Love music! Pull up a chair, grab a drink of your choice from the cauldron. Take your choice of a bat wing Chocolate Chip or Pumpkin, or Peanut Butter cookie from the plate.
Favorite Songs or Musicians.
Let me preface my comments first by saying I worked as DJ for a popular radio station in Colorado for nearly two years. Not much money in it unless you go to the east or west coast, but it was fun for awhile. My music tastes are eclectic, but for this blog I’ll narrow it down from hundreds to two musicians/bands and their songs. One more thing, the musician must be an extraordinary entertainer as well. But that’s just me.
Songs & Musicians:
Bonjovi – Living On A Prayer or unplugged version of Hallelujah Okay I’m going to be honest, just about anything from BonJovi I love. I’ve seen them twice in concert. They put on a fantastic show!
Now Jon’s hair has gone gray like the rest of us (except me of course LOL), but still he can belt out a song and stays true to himself and his family. One hell of an entertainer too!
Garth Brooks, Friends in Low Places, Thunder Rolls, The Dance, and again, gotta be honest love most his songs. I’ve also seen him in concert several times. In fact when he was just getting started, he was one of the free side acts at
the Colorado State Fair, not headliner. But he was the most down to earth person you’ll ever want to meet. He talked with people as they passed by, made jokes, and generally entertained all. We knew after watching him the first time captivate his listeners at the Colorado State Fair he was going to be a MEGA star. Our predictions were so right on!
Now I have to mention Elvis Presley, Can’t Help Falling in Love. We had that played at our wedding, many, many moons ago.
Def Leppard, gotta love Pour Some Sugar on Me LOL – Hubby and I sat with their families at an outdoor concert. It was a dream come true! Believe me they perform for their families!
I could go on and on and on, but I’ll stop here. There you have it my favorite songs or musicians! What are your favorite Songs or Musicians? Please post it in the comments!

“It feels like all the air is being sucked out of this room.” His brother’s face turned ashen white as Beth’s ghostly form took shape in the center of the room.
Brock moved to the little group gathered and glanced at the grandfather clock standing in the hallway. Fifteen minutes until midnight. The witching hour on All Hallows Eve. A nervous chuckle rose up in his throat. How cliche. His brother would be a believer after this night.
He cleared his throat and wrapped an arm around Gwen’s waist. “Can we help you, Beth?” Misfit’s howling could be heard clearly from the upstairs bedroom.
“No, but I hope we can help you.” Ghost Beth glanced back at the painting and sadly shook her head. “The ghost of Judge John Hathorne stands outside ready to curse or worse all those involved in sullying his reputation. The house stands between all of you…protecting—” The ghost’s hand and arm made a sweeping motion toward their group, “— against his magic ability.”
A soft almost hysterical giggle burst from Gwen. “Doesn’t he know that by his actions this night, he has not only outed himself but proved the rumors and article are true?”
“I don’t believe he’s considered that point.” Beth’s ghostly grim face twitched into a half-smile. “He’s bent on revenge, but apparently had trouble passing through the veil this evening.” She pointed to the clock and then laid a finger on her lips.
Thanks for popping in. I really appreciate it. Thanksgiving is nearly here. Anyway, next week’s blogging challenge November 11, 2020, topic is Movies that were better than the books.. That should be interesting. Until then have fun, stay safe, and never let the world get you down!

Charm Me Again by Tena Stetler #MFRWHooks
#MFRWhooks this week we take a look at CHARM ME AGAIN! A mysterious tale of enchanted tools of the trade set in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains and a Scottish Highland Ghost, with nowhere to go. Breaking the curse is only the first step to forever. Pssst… Charm Me Again is also available in audiobook. Take a listen!
So pull up a chair and get comfy, grab a drink of your choice from the cooler, a Chocolate Chip or Peanut Butter cookie from the plate, and let’s find out a little about CHARM ME AGAIN!
How CHARM ME AGAIN began:
For several months a Scottish Highland Ghost has haunted Daylan, in his personal life, his professional life and at his forge. Yet, being a talented warlock, he is no closer to discovering what the ghost wants or why he chose Daylan. A trip to his estranged sister’s home in Colorado may have unforeseen consequences especially when family history leads him to a shocking discovery.
As his attraction blooms for Josie, a yoga instructor in his sister’s studio, he realizes there may be more to Josie than he can imagine. When an ancient rogue Fae Warrior set on revenge kidnaps her in an attempt to claim her as his own, a devastating curse comes to light.
Daylan’s world spirals out of control as he searches for Josie. Can he break the age old curse to save her and their future, or will she be lost to him forever?
A peek between the pages of CHARM ME AGAIN:
She swallowed hard and blinked.
Out of the mist, in full Scottish regalia, a ghost stood, his transparent red and green belted plaid blowing in the breeze.
She shook her head, closed her eyes, scrubbed her hands over her eyes, and blinked them open. “What the hell?” burst from her lips before she could control herself. “It’s some kind of bad dream. Right?” She rubbed her eyes again opening only one this time. “Shit, you’re all still here.” She dropped her arms to her sides and glared at Daylan then Summer. “Someone better tell me what’s going on—right now.” Her hands fisted and unfisted at her sides.
Daylan returned her scathing look. “Later.”
“We meet again Shay.” The ghost said. “What kind of attire are ye wearing?”
“Never mind. Ye are the cause of the problem, Daylan.” The leader glared at the ghost.
“Oh, no—not this time,” the ghost said.
Daylan stood straight. “No way. I’m not taking the blame for this.”
Shay grinned. “Oh, now things are falling in place.” He pointed a finger at Daylan. “You are his namesake and that is why Khellan has returned.” He flicked a finger at the ghost. “And you have attached to your namesake hoping he or his twin can break the curse. What a tangle.” Shifting his gaze to her, he continued. “This young lass is caught in the middle with naught power to protect herself.”
“For god sakes. She’s mortal. How can she be caught in the middle?” Daylan shouted. “She shouldn’t even be able to see what’s happening.”
“Yet she does. Something to think about.” Shay shrugged one shoulder. “She is besotted with you, as you are with her. The lass’s blood may be diluted, but it’s there. The cycle begins again.”

Can they overcome the obstacles?
A little about Hidden Gypsy Magic:
Discover the consequences of awakening hidden Gypsy magic!
The Salem Wildlife Sanctuary is Gwen Taylor’s life work. Her Irish Gypsy heritage provides a hidden talent she uses to help the creatures under her care. But even her magical skills can’t help new rescues in dire need of veterinary care.
The opportunity of signing on as the vet for Gwen’s sanctuary dropped into Brock Scutter’s lap after he expanded his practice to include wildlife. The personal attraction he and Gwen experience is undeniable the more their professional and personal lives collide.
Touring the only “non-haunted” house in Salem they both feel a spark of magic. A trip to his family’s cabin uncovers a heritage he didn’t know existed. If they want a future together, it means facing the consequences of awakening hidden Gypsy magic and a race against the clock to correct past wrongs.

How I Decide What to Read Next #L&SR’s Wednesday Blogging Challenge

How I decide what to read next. I’m very eclectic about my choices, depends on my mood, the season, and the weather. If it’s the holidays, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years, those are the books I want to read. A spooky but not to scary, yep, I’m a wimp, story for Halloween. Cheerful, heartwarming stories for Thanksgiving and Christmas. New beginning for New Year. Then, I’ll take a look at all the covers, then the blurbs and decide what to read. Of course I have my review list and that comes first in the order I received them. Even then sometimes, depending on the due date, I’ll let a cover or blurb sway me. LOL So there you have it, how I decide what to read next. I just finished is A Switch in TIme and am starting Ghost Machine.
How do you decide what to read next? Please post it in the comments!
