The strangest things I’ve eaten – #L&SR’s Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge
Welcome to #L&SR’s Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge August 26, 2020, The strangest things I’ve eaten! Well now that’s interesting. Please have a seat, grab an iced tea or lemonade out of the cooler. Be sure and try a chocolate chip or peanut butter cookie.
Okay I admit to being a picky eater: I love fruits, hate most veggies, and love italian. Strange food is not my forte. However in my younger days, I was tricked into eating a few odd items.
Beef tongue. Suppose to be a delicacy. That is a downright lie. It was like chewing on old shoe leather. Yuck!
During the years I studied Taekwondo, I tasted a few different oriental foods. Some I enjoyed like Bulgogi. I have the recipe and make it on a regular basis.
But Octopus I just couldn’t get past my tongue. The texture was just to weird for my palate. <shivers>
So give me good old pizza and I’m a happy camper!
So there you have it the strangest things I’ve eaten . How about you? Eaten any strange things?

A sneak peek at Hidden Gypsy Magic:
Discover the consequences of awakening hidden Gypsy magic!
The Salem Wildlife Sanctuary is Gwen Taylor’s life work. Her Irish Gypsy heritage provides a hidden talent she uses to help the creatures under her care. But even her magical skills can’t help new rescues in dire need of veterinary care.
The opportunity of signing on as the vet for Gwen’s sanctuary dropped into Brock Scutter’s lap after he expanded his practice to include wildlife. The personal attraction he and Gwen experience is undeniable the more their professional and personal lives collide.
Touring the only “non-haunted” house in Salem they both feel a spark of magic. A trip to his family’s cabin uncovers a heritage he didn’t know existed. If they want a future together, it means facing the consequences of awakening hidden Gypsy magic and a race against the clock to correct past wrongs.
Thanks for popping in. I really appreciate it. Next week, September 2, 2020, can you believe it? Autumn is heading our way. Anyway subject is Topics that make me stop reading a book. Sounds like fun!

I’ve eaten and enjoyed calamari. I wonder if I’d like octopus soup?
And, yeah, I’ve heard beef tongue isn’t good. Haven’t tried it myself yet.
Hey Lydia! Thanks for stopping by. Yeah, leave the beef tongue off your trials. LOL
I’m not the only one who didn’t like beef tongue. Octopus is like trying to eat rubber bands. https://pmprescott.blogspot.com/2020/08/wednesday-challenge-082620.html
Nope you sure aren’t! Thanks for stopping by Patrick!
Ewwww beef tongue! Can’t even imagine and I refuse too lol. Calamari is yummy but soup? Idk.. I’m suspect on how good it won’t be. Now Bulgogi is my jam! I eat that alot along with other oriental dishes (I’m married to a Filipino!). Wonderful post
Thank you Kri! Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for dropping by! Stay safe!
Maybe it was the person making it or that they weren’t versed in making octopus, but it tasted like rubber bands to me.
Oh goodness, Tena! How was the beef tongue prepared, out of curiosity?
